Four of the bandits who attacked worshippers of Redeemed Christain Church of God and Cherubim and Seraphim in Ofada , Obafemi Owode have been arrested at Fere Village through jibowu interchange junction.
This was due to the quick response of the excutive chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Hon. Amb. Ogunsola Adeshina and the security agencies.
Recall that some alleged bandits stormed the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Omu penpe, and Cherubim & Seraphim Church and attacked the worshippers where one of them was shot dead.
A poultry farmer was also set free due to the intervention of a police patrol team in collaboration with the local hunters who are in surveillance in the suburb.
In the process of gun dual, an AK 47 was recovered and four of them were arrested so far and taken to the force headquarter at Eleweran, Abeokuta for further interrogations.
Meanwhile, the Council boss implored owners of abandoned buildings to clear them as his administration will not hesitate to take over their buildings in order not to be hideouts for miscreants.
He also appealed to the residents of the community to let their mind be at rest, saying that the incident of kidnapping and banditry will be a thing of the past in Obafemi owode local government areas.
The hardworking chairman appreciated the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his intervention in making it possible for them to arrest the culprits.
He added Governor Abiodun is much concerned about the protection of the lives and properties of the people in the State.
