The Senator representing Ogun Central at the National Assembly, Shuaib Afolabi Salisu has congratulated the good people of Ogun State on the 48th Anniversary of the creation of the state,
He said it is a celebration of the spirit of unity, hard work, and resilience of the people and its leadership.
In a statement from his media office, the Chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cyber Security commended the exceptional successive leaderships that have guided the state through what he calls decades of growth and development, triumphs, and tenacity, and leadership fortified by foresight.
He added that the anniversary provides yet another opportunity to reflect on the remarkable journey of a state that has consistently demonstrated its commitment to excellence through inspiring success stories of its people who are united not only by geographical boundaries but also by an industrious lifestyle that has elevated the reputation and honor of our beloved country, Nigeria
“Since its creation on February 3, 1976, Ogun State has been a shining example of progress, embodying the spirit of unity, hard work, and resilience.
” From the days of the first civilian governor, Chief Olabisi Onabanjo, to the era of military governance, and the subsequent return to civilian rule under the visionary leadership of Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Ogun State has consistently flourished under the successive Administrations. The indomitable spirit of the people, coupled with the quality of leadership, has propelled the state to unprecedented heights.”
According to the statement, Ogun State has continued to record remarkable advancements in various sectors, setting an unrivalled standard of excellence.
Senator Salisu adds, “I am proud of the ‘Ise Ya’ mantra of our dear state, which reflects the unyielding commitment of the people of Ogun State to hard work and diligence in the discharge of their duties.
