The Nigerian Association Of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers, Ogun State Chapter, NAPPMED has said that it is ready to collaborate with stakeholders in the health sector in fishing out fake drug dealers among the members.
The Association also vowed to punish and seal up shops of any members involving in fake and adulterated drugs.
The State President of NAPPMED, Mrs H.M Taiwo disclosed this on Wednesday during the first 2024 Ogun NAPPMED Conference held at the June 12 Cultural Center, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
She said that members have become aware of the implication and gravity of the offence of dealing in fake/adulterated and substandard drugs.
Mrs Taiwo urged He urged the members to be of good behaviour and avoid any act that is capable of tarnishing the image of the association.
According to her, the association will not tolerate indiscipline and flouting of government directives under any guise.”
She therfore appealed to all NAPPMED members in the State to be law abiding, follow the rules and regulations and operate in line with the scope of their license.
Meanwhile, the National President, Rev. Hon Cyril Adonye Pollyn also said that the association is ready to partner with the federal government of Nigeria in delivering proper health care to people at grassroots, saying that the body is very close to the grassroots.
He also said that the association is ready to collaborate with stakeholders in the health sector to fight against fake drug dealers.

Joseph Ali amongst others.
