The Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, *Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde (SAMOLA)*, has intervened critically, providing desks and chairs to aid learning for primary school children in the riverine community of Ikotun-Ashe and environs in Olorunda LCDA.
The Council Chairman made the donation as part of his commitment to improving the conditions surrounding basic education in the Council, a commitment that has ensured the construction of several schools, blocks of classrooms, and the establishment of incentive-based programs to encourage and reward the best-performing students, among other initiatives. Salvation Army Primary School, Ikotun-Ashe, which is receiving the donation, is one of the schools constructed by the Hon. Olatunde-led administration of the Council.
Speaking at the Council Secretariat after inspecting the furniture, Hon. Olatunde stated that they were being transported to the school immediately and should be delivered by nightfall.
Speaking further, he assured the Council populace of his total commitment to continuously strengthening the various sectors that directly impact the lives of residents.
In addition to the furniture donation, Hon. Olatunde further expressed his commitment to future educational projects to enhance the educational experience for students in the LCDA.
