A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Sanni Sulaimon Charity Organisation, on Saturday gave cash donation worth 1 million naira to the less privileged men and women, vulnerable and party members in Gbagura communities in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The communities that benefit include Oke Iddo, Ago – Ika, Lafenwa, Sabo Gaa communities in where each beneficiary received N10, 000 each.
Speaking at the distribution of the cash gifts held in Ejalonibu House Lafenwa Abeokuta, the Founder, and Chairman of the NGO, Hon. Sanni Sulaimon, said the gesture was part of the Sanni Sulaimon Charity Organisation humanitarian activities to extend the hand of fellowship to his people in Abeokuta North , assuring that other communities would soon receive their relief fund to cushion the present situation of our economy.
According to him, the gesture is not aimed for pecuniary gain from political circle rather as his humanitarian gesture and part of his visions in reaching out to the less privilege and the vulnerable to alleviate their suffering in the time of need.
The Ex House of Assembly Aspirant added that this is not the first time he would be a carrying out such humanitarian activities, saying that reaching out to his people in will help in improving their wellbeing.
He maintained that government can not do it alone, calling on other NGOs to emulate the gesture and lend help to the indigent citizens.
Sanni said ” Foundation will continue to prioritize the well-being of the ageing and ensure their access to quality healthcare delivery. My Charity Organisation will start to pay monthly statutory allowance to the ageing and widows in Abeokuta North Local Government to make life comfortable for them.
Similarly, some beneficiaries, Mrs Bola Balogun and Mr. Hassan Olayanju appreciated Hon. Sanni Sulaimon for his kindness and support he had been doing for the good people Abeokuta on community based program and politics generally keep hope in him as promising youth for the image of Abeokuta North Local Government and the state as a whole.
Meanwhile, Mr. Hassan Olayanju enjoined all the beneficiaries that Sanni Sulaimon Charity Organization has proven what the foundation is capable of doing, and we will all reciprocate to support Hon Sanni Sulaimon, time will tell.
