The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Olu Olukoyede, has disclosed that within his 6months in office he has recovered close to 120 billion naira and a thousand of six hundred convictions.
The EFCC Chairman made this known while speaking journalists at the commission’s headquarters.
He vowed to ensure investigations into the alleged N80.2 billion fraud case against former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.
Olukoyede said they have wiped tears of maby victims eyes who have been duped in their millions, adding that they keep recovering money from victims every day.
He said ” We need EFCC, we need this institution to survive, some many victims that we have wiped tears off their eyes, people that they have defrauded all of them in their millions, how much are we going to say, every day we keep recovering money in my six months, we have recovered close 120 billions of naira and over a thousand six hundred convictions, we have investigated some many people, Yahaya Bello does not has two heads. He should submit himself”.
