A legislator, representing ward 15, isaga Ilewo Orile, Hon. Moruf Erubami has felicitated with Muslims on the 2024 Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
Erubami in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta congratulated Muslims, especially in the council, for seeing the end of the 30 days Ramadan fast.
He urged the Muslims to reflect on the significance of the Sallah celebration and extend their hands of generousity, kindness and assistance to the less privileges in the society.
The legislator also counseled the faithfuls to consolidate on the gains of the lessons of Ramadan fast by continue to imbibe religious tolerance, alms giving, charity and other good deeds.
The Councillor said the Eid-el-Fitri is a sacred period when the prayers of the devoted are promptly answered and urged Muslims to offer prayers for an end to insecurity and other domestic challenges confronting the nation..
He called on religious leaders, traditional rulers and parents to intensify their spiritual, communal and parental responsibility in order to ensure a virile and decent society.
Erubami also urged the youths to do away with criminality and illicit acts and embrace diligence, honesty, trustworthiness, unity and peaceful co-existence to achieve a desired nationhood.
