The Distinguished Honourable Member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Ogun Waterside State Constituency, Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle (Lawee), has on this auspicious day of Thursday 20th June 2024, reeled out his achievements in commemoration of his one year in office.
The 10th Ogun State Legislative Assembly consisting of 26 members was inaugurated on 20th June 2023.
Hon. Lawal has disclosed that the first-year anniversary would be celebrated in low-key, noting that the economic situation in the country and the activities of the just concluded Ileya festival necessitated the low-key celebration.
*THE ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR*
On June 20th 2023, Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle was inaugurated as a distinguished member of the 10th Assembly representing Ogun Waterside State Constituency.
On June 26th, 2023 Hon. Lawee doles out Ileya gifts(Rams, Bags of rice, and cash) to Constituents.
On June 27th, 2023 Hon. Lawal also gave out a free ride to Constituents from Ijebu-ode to Ogun Waterside on the eve of the last Ileya festival.
On June 29th, 2023 Hon. Lawee organised Beach Carnival (the first of its kind) for Ode-omi Youths on the 2nd day of the last Ileya festival.

On July 18th, 2023, Hon. Lawee at the OGHA floor moved a motion suggesting the recruitment of local security guards such as the Hunters Association, Amotekun, VGN, etc. to tackle insecurity
On July 20th, 2023 Hon. Lawal paid a courtesy visit to the Gateway Industrial Petro-Gas Institute(GIPI), Oni. He also moved motion for the upgrading of the institution at the plenary.
On July 25th, 2023, Hon. Lawee at the Hallow Chamber, raised alarm over the perennial flooding covering the only road linking Ayede/Lomiro and Ayila/Itebu.
On August 3rd, 2023 Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle was appointed Chairman House Committee on Environment and Vice Chairman on Lands and Housing.
On August 3rd, 2023 Hon. Lawal Samusideen presented before the House, a petition written by the Onirokun of Irokun Kingdom, HRM Oba Buhari Ola Balogun, on the illegal encroachment on Irokun land by the Ondo State government.
On August 25th 2023 at the plenary, Hon. Lawal Samusideen presented before the House, the petition filed by the Ogun Waterside Patriotic Forum on the long-time power outage in the entire local government area.
On September 12th 2023, the Vice Chairman House Committee on Lands and Housing, Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle co-sponsor the motion for the amendment of the anti land grabbing law.
The Chairman House Committee on Environment, facilitated the inspection of all the Transformers and electric cables in the constituency by the Bureau of Electrical Engineering Services Team, as well as the assessment of the causes of the power outage on September 13th 2023.
Hon. Lawal secured admission slots for four students from Ogun Waterside into the Ogun State School of Nursing.
Within 100 days in office, Hon. Lawal donated a Generator set, fans, and Solar Street lights to the Nigerian Police in Ogun Waterside.
Hon. Lawal Secured Traveling VISA for 3 Watersiders to the United Kingdom and Germany.
Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle, on resumption of the new session, donated School Uniforms, Exercise Books, and School Bags to School Children in his constituency.
On Septem,ber 27th 2023, Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle(Lawee), donated Twenty New Sets of Football Jerseys to 20 Football Clubs in preparation for Hon. Lawee Football League in Ogun Waterside.
On September 29th 2023, Hon. Lawal flag-off Empowerment/Skills Acquisition Program throughout the constituency
On October 19th 2024, Hon. Lawal Donated 20 Footballs and Lawn Mower to the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (Ogun Waterside Chapter)
Christmas 2023: Hon. Lawal Distributed Christmas gifts to the party (PDP) members, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Grops, Widows and Aged in Ogun Waterside State Constituency.
On May 25th, 2024, Hon. Lawal donated a power generating set Igbafo Community, in Abigi Ward to power the existing Borehole in the community
On 30th May, 2024 The Chairman House Committee on Environment, facilitated the inspection of the Itunla river (Igele-Ologbun), Uwi, Labata and Ifara river, seeking a lasting solution to the annual flood that is making the road impassable during raining seasons.
Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle Sponsored the dredging and clearance of the drainage and canals to mitigate perennial flooding in Ode-omi
Hon. Lawal Donated Antenatal items to pregnant women at the General Hospital, Ibiade and all the Health Centres across Ogun Waterside State Constituency.

Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle donated Four Tippers of Hardcore stones to the people of Ayede/Ayila as a palliative measure to mitigate the annual flooding on Ayede/Ayila/Araromi Obu Road.
Hon. Lawal Sunk another set of Boreholes at the following communities: Tipetu-Ibiade (Completed), L. G. Primary School, Ode-omi (Completed), Abigi (Ongoing), Efire (Ongoing), Moshiri (Ongoing), Malofe (Ongoing), note that all the ongoing Borehole Projects would be completed soon.
Hon. Lawal recently facilitated Three Boreholes through the office of the Deputy Governor, H. E (Engr.) Noimot Salko – Oyedele for Irokun, Igboedu and Eba Communities in Makun-omi/Irokun Ward. The project is already in progress.
Hon. Lawal facilitated the establishment of Western Coast Maritime Academy(WECMA) in Makun-omi.
Ileya 2024: Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle organised free transportation from Ijebu-Ode to Ogun Waterside to the Constituents living outside the constituency. He also distributed Rams and Cash gifts to Party(PDP) members and Muslims across the Constituency.
On the 2nd day of Ileya 2024, Hon. Lawal Organised and sponsored the second edition of the Hon. Lawee Beach Carnival for the youths of Ode-omi.
