The Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service, Kemi Nanna Nandap, pcc, mmis, fsm during the week, was in Kebbi State to assess and evaluate the level of work done on the installation and deployment of the e-border solution.
The choice of Kebbi was strategic; being a state that shares boundaries with both Niger and Benin Republic.
Understanding that effective border governance and migration management involves a wholistic approach, the Comptroller General visited Kamba, Dolekaina and Lolo Control Posts, engaging with critical stakeholders in ensuring that the nation’s borders are secure
The CGI also did a dry-run of the e-border solution being installed, which sends realtime information and data to the Service Headquarters.
It is important to note that the strategic visit to Kebbi marks the CGI’s first official visit outside Abuja since her appointment by President Bola Tinubu – whose mandate to the Service was hinged on safer borders and efficient migration management and border governance.
