Sunday Adeyemo Igboho bags Doctorate Degree

Popular Nigerian Yoruba self-determination activist and philanthropist, Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho has been honored with a Doctorate in Peace and Security Management/International Relations in the United States.

The honorary award was given to him by Triune Biblical University, Brooklyn, New York.

Sunday Igboho has been having a running battle with Nigerian security forces and was arrested at the behest of Nigerian government in Cotonou, Benin Republic, in July last year, for the allegedly carrying a fake passport.

Before he surfaced in Cotonou and subsequently arrested, recall that he had been declared wanted by the Nigerian secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS) for allegedly stockpiling of arms in his home.

The Yoruba nation agitator was detained in Benin Republic and after several court appearances, he regained his freedom in March 2022.

He wrote on his Instagram page, “Congratulations to me as I was conferred Doctor of peace and security management/international relations with specialization in war/conflict and peace studies from Truine Biblical University, USA,” he wrote.

“It’s such an honor to know that Yoruba nation’s efforts are not in vain.”

Some of those present to witness the award ceremony include Banji Akintoye, leader of the Yoruba self-determination movement; Banji Ayiloge, vice chairman of the Yoruba self-determination movement; Wale Adeniran, vice chairman of Ilana Omo Odua, and Titi Aboyade Cole, the publicity director of YSDM.
