Some ward executives and APC leaders in ward 3, Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun State have accused Alawo- Erin of Egbaland, who is also a Chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Balogun Nurudeen Olaleye of imposing a councillorship candidate Hon. Bola Ajisegiri on them.
The Executives accused Olaleye and some APC leaders of organising a “kangaroo” primary election.
Alhaji Ogunyomi, the chairman of leaders’ forum who is speaking on behalf of other executives disclosed that Olaleye organized the kangaroo election in the night at 8pm with seven APC leaders and some ward executives.
He said that they are not in support of the kangaroo election organized by the APC Chieftain, calling for direct primary election.
Alhaji Ogunyomi revealed that the APC leaders and ward executives involved in the kangaroo election received twenty thousand naira each in order to work against the right candidate
They therefore called on Prince Dapo Abiodun to intervene in the matter, saying that the action of Olaleye will throw the ward in intractable crisis.
The Executives who are against the kangaroo election are Olalekan Solola, Joke Babawale, Bashir adewale, Ojurabesa Suraj u Deen, kazeem Ewemoje, kemi Omidiji, Mr saheed , Samson adebayo, Mr Adewale, Hameed olowu, Alhaji ogunyomi, hon, kela ni lukman hon lanre biobaku hon jamiu adebayo, delani alao, hon Benice Sonde among others.
Those who are in support of the alleged kangaroo election were Nurudeen Olaleye , Dasaolu Ebenezer, Saheed Balogun, Saheed Animasaun, Ayo Adeniji, Mrs Adeniji, Busayo Elemide, Monsuru Adebayo, Bola Bada, Tunde agbara, Mrs kemi, Samuel, Mustafa adeboy e,lawale bansy , Baba bee, Toyin Bello Kamoru Oyatayo and Mr Adekunle.
Balogun Olaleye in his reaction said he never imposed any candidate on the ward executives, saying that direct election was held.
The APC Chieftain debunked organising kangaroo election, saying that the aggrieved APC leaders and ward executives absconded from the primary election.
He urged the general public to disregard the report which he said it is nothing but untrue.
