The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Ogunsola Adesina Lanre, FCPA has said that Ramadan period is a time to seek forgiveness of sins from Allah and live in peace with everyone not just a Muslim brothers and sisters alone but also as people in the community.
Council Boss while speaking at the Ramadan Lecture organized by the Muslim Fellowship, Obafemi Owode Local Government Secretariat promised to provide full support to the building of an ultra modern Mosque within the council secretariat.
Some philanthropist present donated some amount of money ranging from N500,000, N200,000 and many more.
He therefore added that his desire was borne out of dedication of staffs in discharge of their duties and also to save staffs from stress encountering while crossing road to observe prayers whenever they are in office.
“Let me implore all of us here to make positive use of this period of Ramadan to pray for the peace and unity of our Council, State and Nation as a whole,”said the chairman”.
Delivering the Lecture, Alhaji Abdul Fatai Anifowose Soyoye, Chief Imam, Ansarudeen Mosque, Owode charged people to be more tolerant, as it is the way to live in peace with one another, particularly at this month of Ramadan which is part of the tenet of Islam.
Meanwhile, in early hours of the day, Amb. Ogunsola received the team of ward vocal officers at different health facilities in his office under the aegis of Primary Health Care Board One Roof initiative of the state government, paid an official visit to give him a comprehensive report of the activities at the health centers of the council area.
Dr. A.M Otuyalo, Coordinator PHC Board Obafemi Owode Local Government said the purpose of the visit is to give report of activities at the centres, since the movement of department of PHC formerly running by the Local Governments to Board in Ogun state.
He stressed that though the department of PHC has moved to a Board in the state but that they only change nomenclature, but still under the supervision of the Local Government Chairman and must be briefed at all time.

He appreciated His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for the recent approval and employment of additional staffs to complement the existing ones.
Amb. Ogunsola expressed satisfaction in the delivery of their services and enjoined them to do more as very soon he will make an unscheduled visit to various health facilities and they must live up to expectations.
He also expressed profound appreciation to Egba Heritage at Kajola ward for donating a borehole, store tank, a New Power Generator and 2 Sinks which will be Commissioned soon.
