A youth socio-political group in Ogun West, Yewa Youth Pacesetters, has lauded the senator representing senatorial district, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola otherwise known as Yayi, for facilitating no fewer than78 capital projects to Ogun West since his assumption at the 10th senate.
The group, in a statement signed by its President, Dapo Fasola, on Wednesday described the feat recorded by Senator Adeola as unprecedented in the history of Ogun West senatorial district.
According to Fasola in the statement, the capital projects that are currently under construction across the five local government areas in the senatorial district including school buildings, health care facilities, roads and bridges, town halls and police stations, would expedite the desired infrastructural development and socio-economic growth that had eluded Ogun West.
The group added that the projects which are in addition to Adeola’s empowerment programme targeted at over 5,000 constituents in training, grants and provision of equipment for self-employment, will also enhance the economic prosperity of the beneficiaries.
While urging the senator who doubles as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations not to relent in offering qualitative representation and attracting more capital projects to Ogun West, the YYP expressed optimism that the senatorial district will witness not only political, but socio-economic turn-around with Senator Adeola in the Senate.
It, however, commended the synergy between the senator and the Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, which has enabled seamless attraction and siting of constituency projects with a view of complementing the developmental efforts of the governor.
YYP charged other federal lawmakers representing Ogun at the National Assembly to emulate Senator Adeola by ensuring good representation as well as the empowerment of their constituency.
The group equally charged the lawmakers to rally round the senator in his bid to reposition Ogun West and change the narrative of underdevelopment which was synonymous with the senatorial district.
