Alfadarai wishes Lagosians merry Christmas and a prosperous year 2024 in advance …
The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, MFR, fdc has deployed, over two thousand five hundred ( 2,500 ) personnel, operational vehicles, ambulances and other human and material machineries, to ensure security and safety of lives and the critical national assets and infrastructure in the state during the entire festive period.
The NSCDC, Lagos State Command has also ensured that the officers and men deployed, to undertake the ‘End of the year season,’ oversee all strategic and tactical locations, flash points, black spots, beats, relaxation spots, recreational parks, markets, worship centres ( churches ), religious gatherings, and right of ways et ce tera.
The approach engaged, at this very crucial season also covered, a continuous and vehement protection of our critical national assets and infrastructure, belonging to the Federal, State and local Government Areas amidst other very important places, without neglecting the remote, rural and coastal regions, where attention of security, is also often required within the state due to their vulnerabilities.
The deployments were drawn from various departments and units, such as; Operation, Intelligence and Investigation Departments, Anti–Vandal, Armed Squad, CNAI, Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) Units.
Others include, Area commands and Divisions, Quick Intervention Squad (QIS), Special Female Squad ( SFS ), Agro–Rangers, Crisis and Disaster Management, Counter–Terrorism, Peace and Conflict Management and Anti–Human Trafficking and Illegal Migration Unit, (ATHIMU ) amongst others.”
The Lagos State Commandant, therefore, seized, this opportunity to urge Lagosians and fellow citizens, to comply with security and safety protocols during this year’s celebrations.
“While wishing Lagosians merry Christmas and a prosperous new year 2024 in advance, today, Friday, 22nd December, 2023, from NSCDC, Lagos State Command, we urge people not to indulge in any bad behaviour but rather they should tow the part of peace,” Alfadarai said.
The Lagos State commandant also advised, residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious persons or movements around them to the NSCDC or other security agencies.
