The Acting Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Hon. Adetutu Elizabeth Oyesanya, has been sworn-in as the new chairman of the local government after the impeachment of the former Chairman, Mr. Wale Adedayo.
Recall that Legislators in Ijebu East Local Government impeached Wale Adedayo over financial mismanagement and misappropriation.
The ceremony, was held at the conference room of the local government secretariat Ogbere,
The chairman took her oath of office and oath of allegiance which were administered by Barrister Taofeek Lawal
In her response, the chairman, Hon. Adetutu Elizabeth Oyesanya thanked all the people of Ijebu East local government for standing by her.
She promised to run an all-inclusive administration with prudent financial management in her dealings as the chairman
The new council chairman maintained that it’s a privilege for her to be the chairman and her doors are open for constructive advice, as she has listening ears for all members of her administration including the career officers.
The chairman used the occasion to thank the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his developmental projects in Ijebu East local government and thereby pledged her loyalty to the governor and members of his administration in Ogun state
The ceremony had in attendance secretary to the local government , Mr. Sina Ipaye, other supervisors , advisers and consultants.
Also in attendance was the Head of Local Administration along with other directors and head of departments.
