The Association of Local Government Chairmen , ALGON, Ogun State Chapter, has tendered an apology to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun over recent statement by one of them that he hijacked local government funds.
The apology was made by ALGON chairman, Hon. Emilola Gazal during a meeting with the Governor held at the Governor’s office in Oke-Mosan.
Gazal who is also the Council Chairman of Ijebu-Ode LG, prostrated along side other members for Abiodun for forgiveness.
The ALGON chairman said ” Your Excellency sir, we are here today to tender our unreserved apology over a petition written by one of us. We have only come here to beg you as a father you are, as a father of all in the state. I want you to forgive us sir, on behalf of all of us, particularly on behalf of Wale Adedayo, we tender our apology to you sir, please forgive us sir”
Abiodun in his remarks said has been sincere since his assumption into office, saying that he will continue to ensure that he is guided by all the promises that he made in his course of his journey
