The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps Usman Alfadarai, fdc, mnim, mpa, fisn, fcss has avowed his commitment to protect the Agro – allied investment of the state.
The State Commandant pledged his commitment, when he visited Mrs Tokunbo Emokpae, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, in her office in Alahusa, Ikeja.
“The Corps’ Agro Rangers Unit saddled with the aforementioned responsibility in the state has been better positioned and prepared, to take up the herculean task in order to ensure security of farmers and farm produces, which will ultimately increase food production, food security and boost the state’s economy amongst others,” Alfadarai said.
Alfadarai further said that the Corps is open to all mechanisms of collaboration with the Ministry and all relevant stakeholders in the Agro – Allied industry in the state to prevent insecurity and enhance safety for both skilled and unskilled workers in the system.
The Permanent Secretary, Mrs Tokunbo Emokpae welcome the State Commandant and commended the efforts of the Command so far in fulfilling its mandate throughout the state. She also made it clear that the Ministry will continue to engage the Corps from time to time whenever there is such need.
Present with the State Commandant at the collaborative engagement with the Ministry yesterday, Wednesday, 2nd August, 2023, was Assistant Commandant of Corps Nathaniel Koshi, Head of Agro Rangers Unit and other senior officers.
