The Celestial Church of Christ, Archdiocesan headquarters, Ijaye Abeokuta, Ogun State has rolled out drums for the celebration of its 60th anniversary.
The spiritual leader of the church , Evangelist Joseph Ojulanfe Talon during a media briefing in commomeration of the anniversary said that the church will be celebrating the 60th anniversary for the success recorded and the impact it has made on the people’s lives in the state.
The theme of this year is ” Double Blessing 2023.
Evangelist Talon said the programme will commence from Sunday 6th August to Monday 21st August 2023 at the church premises
According to him “there is every cause to thank God for his manifold love and care despite all the threats of the devil over the years. Many people had been saved, sanctified and baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit, also many had been healed of diverse diseases.”
Evangelist Talon who expressed displeasure over the state of the nation’s economy noted that prayer alone cannot solve the problem bedeviling Nigeria.
He argued that the country will only know peace if the church in Nigeria can unite.
Talon equally emphasized the need for Nigerians to shun evil and move closer to God in repentance, adding that it is hypocritical to seek God’s intervention for Nigeria while corruption reigns in the affairs of the people.
He said “The church in Nigeria must unite first for peace to come to play in Nigeria. If there is unity we can all win together, we believe and pray that we shall all be successful”.
“This church is praying along with other churches in Nigeria concerning our challenges but we cannot continue to pray when we are not aligning with God. We must brace righteousness in Nigeria.
Talon stated that all that we need as a country in the current situation is to call all churches and Nigerians to fight the battle together with prayer, adding that the only weapon needed is prayer.
He also told Nigerians to believe in God and accept God to the fullest.

Programs lined up for the 60th anniversary is Prophetic consultation on 14th of August, Bible quiz starting by 2 pm and Onibode celebration by 6: till down.

17th of August, Pep talk and youth night.
August 18th Prophetic and Prophetess Day and raffle draw.
19th of August Environmental sanitation.
20th of August, Harvest Day.
21st Basa Day celebration.
