The Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Movement (ABATmovemnt) Diaspora Professionals has called on infigrnes and residents of Ogun Stste, especially the electorate to conduct themselves peacefully while exercising their francise.
The group also urged the security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be patriotic, professional and civil in discharging their onerous responsibility to ensure peaceful, fair and credible Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in Ogun Stste.
ABATmovemnt however commended governor Dapo Abiodun’ for his performance in the last 45 months in the areas of infrastructural developments and agro cargo airport project among numerous others to drive rapid socioeconomic growth and development of the Gateway State.
The group, a political movement based in Canada, pUSA, UK and others in a statement signed by its convener, Dr Femi Soluade said the giant strides of the governor informed why the group has endorsed and thrown its weight behind him.
The group unanimously endorsed Abiodun’s second term bid, claiming he had “sterling performance and re-engineered public good in the nooks and crannies of Ogun State.”
Dr Soluade disclosed that apart from the support for Dapo Abiodun, the group also unanimously support Segun Kaka’s aspiration to become a member of the State Assembly.
The group said that “Prince Dapo Abiodun is a good example of Omoluwabi, the rare selling points for this administration are confirmation that projects inherited from previous administrations have been completed and upgraded where necessary.”
He said, “We cannot but commend the increase in Ease of Doing Business index that has significantly boosted foreign and indigenous investment in our dear state.
The governor has shown himself as a numero uno marketer of our Gateway State and the result is evidently clear in the rise in our internally generated revenue.
The recent test flight of the Ogun Agro Cargo Airport and series of investors that have continue to troop into the State since he took over governance about four years ago are evidence of his rare leadership acumen which continue to put the State as the future economic capital of Nigeria.
“On this note, and on behalf of all members of the ABATmovement/ICC Diaspora, I hereby proclaim the support of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, to serve for a second term in office commencing from May, 2023.”
The group asserted that, after a clinical observation of all the candidates contesting for the emposition, they came to the conclusion that it is only the incumbent that can take the state to the next level.
The group added that Prince Abiodun remained the best man for the job.
“We believe that his achievements so far can only be consolidated by another four years of governance. Continuity is the magic word.
