The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP House of Assembly candidate vying to represent Abeokuta South State Constituency 1, Chief Lukmon Atobatele says the donation of a block of Classroom and furniture to the Moshood Abiola Model Primary School, Adatan in 2020 was out of pure service and not for political reasons.
Chief Atobatele who disclosed this in Abeokuta while on tour of polling units in all the wards he is vying to represent in Abeokuta South local government said, there were other contributions of support by him to ameliorate the sufferings of the people.
He noted that the neglect of schools by government and deficit of infrastructure in various communities have made it compulsory to give such support to assist the people.
According to him, “when I donated the block of classroom and equipped it with furniture and other facilities I never thought I would become a candidate of any political party. I was just doing my own as a selfless and conscientious Nigerian who believes in giving opportunities to others”.
“I saw the need to support the young ones and make learning comfortable for them. There were so many other contributions and this is a pointer to the fact that I will perform excellently well as a God-fearing and capable individual who has the interest of the people at heart”.
Chief Atobatele who advised the people to vote in candidates of the PDP across board said “the Party is presenting selfless, capable and men of integrity whose impact are already being felt even without holding any political post”.
“You can see how Chief Ladi Adebutu has donated transformers across Ogun state, Chief Olumide Aderinokun and Chief Toyin Amuzu are well known for water borehole projects and roads, just like Hon Idowu Olowofuja. These are PDP candidates that are ready to help our people out of this hardship” , Atobatele said.
