Hon. Oduwole Hails Roles Of Ijebu Ode Council Of Oloritun In Grassroot Development

A member representing Ijebu-Ode State Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Industry, Trade and Investment, Hon. Kemi Oduwole has held an interactive session with members of the Ijebu-Ode council of Olorituns comprising of the 39 heads of Porogun, Iwade and Oke development quarters, with an assertion that they remain major stakeholders in the sustenance of peace and development in their respective domains.

Oduwole made the remarks during the session held at his constituency office in Ijebu-Ode,l.

He expressed that a constituency engagement with the Olorituns became imperative in view of their veritable roles at ensuring effective coordination of communities under their respective purview; thereby achieving grassroot development and mobilization of support for the state government.

The lawmaker applauded them for their advisory role as worthy leaders which has led to the improvement in security and environmental sanitation amongst other sundry community roles.

He further sought for their support at engaging other stakeholders, especially political office holders at all levels of government to facilitate more developmental projects towards spreading democratic dividends to the people.

Oduwole reeled out the various completed and ongoing road projects being carried out by the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun in the constituency, with an assurance that the present administration remain committed towards entrenching good governance as promised during the electioneering period.

Earlier, the Council Chairman, Alhaji Mutairu Alli expressed their commitment at giving the needed support for the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration, noting that government presence has been well felt in the cosmopolitan area through the various road projects that has ease human and vehicular movement as well as brought about massive improvement in the socio-economic activities of the area.

Commending the robust community engagements and effective representation of the lawmaker, the council appealed to the State government to look into their welfare as most of them are elderly.
